About Us
My Sister’s Gift House was created by sisters Tina and Sheila after finding a passion for embroidering pretty things. With a willingness to learn and the drive to open and operate a small business in Whitby, we took off running.
We started with one small single needle machine (we call her Shirley) doing simple designs on kitchen towels. We continued to learn and grow. Our friend and honorary sister Christine began to help us (ALOT) we got busier and busier. We bought more machines and hundreds of spools of thread. We now have 3 large industrial embroidery machines each with 16 needles and a smaller 4 needle machine for small jobs. We named them Lavern, Lucy, Betty and Wilma. Our studio is constantly growing and changing. Our stockroom and shelves are filled with items that we love. We are very proud of our business and we love what we do.
You can find us at many local markets, events and craft sales. We enjoy doing these events. Selling our products and meeting new and returning customers is the most exciting part for us. Much of our inspiration comes from our customers, friends and family.
We are grateful to all of our friends, family and customers who have helped along the way and continue to support our small business by buying, sharing and liking our posts and just for being kind.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Tina, Sheila and Christine. xo
